Yoga

What is Yoga?
Yoga is an old discipline from India. The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yui, meaning to control, to yoke or to unite.  It is both spiritual and physical, connecting the mind, body and soul.  Yoga uses breathing techniques, meditation and asanas (postures).  Many branches of yoga include Raja, Karma, Jnana, Bhakti and Hatha yoga.  Yoga is beneficial for everyone and helps us to reconnect to our true inner selves, gain a sense of peace, calm and wellbeing, and contributes towards a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
What is Vinyasa Yoga?
Vinyasa flow stems from Hatha yoga which is designed to align and calm the mind, body and spirit.   Vinyasa is characterised by linking postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly using the breath, and therefore combining movement, poses, breathing and relaxation.

Yoga Classes for Businesses

Whether your workspace environment is on-site, working from home or a hybrid of both, a well-being yoga class onsite or online is ideal to boost team morale, which is proven to have a direct effect on productivity, bringing people back together in a fun and healthy way.  The sessions can be tailored to suit and perhaps a 30 minute collective yoga class could be slotted-in first thing in the morning, lunchtimes, tea breaks and/or at the end of the day.

The classes are recorded, and links to the video are emailed for you to share with all colleagues.  Anyone can do yoga, you don't have to be flexible, you just need to be prepared to show up and give it a try.  All you need is a small space where you can lie down on a mat or towel, wear comfy clothes (which is standard attire when working from home) and all systems are go! It's a great way to re-unite with work colleagues in an non-stressful environment, and helps contribute to a sense of belonging whilst also being a stress-reducing activity. Take 30 minutes of 'time-out' together, and have a team who are revitalised and positively motivated.
